KATIE’S STYLE: As cliché as it sounds, it’s forever changing. I don’t know if I have a definite style. Some days I like to dress grungy, some days I like to dress very menswear inspired, and some days I like to dress super edgy or girly. It really depends on how I feel and what kind of activities I’m partaking in.
INSPIRATION: My friends. My friends are definitely my biggest inspiration. All of my closest friends have such creative minds, it’s hard not to get inspired by everything they do.
WHAT IS YOUR EARLIEST FASHION MEMORY? My glittery butterfly hair-clips that flapped when I walked and sparkly purple platform Sketchers that I think Baby Spice had in white. But maybe that’s not really considered fashion…
IF YOU HAD TO ONE WEAR ITEM FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE… I would probably have to say my Matiko ACE booties, because I think black Chelsea boots go with everything in my wardrobe. I already wear them almost every day. They’re comfortable and classic.
FASHION FAMILY: Does the Horowitz family count? I would give anything to have Cher’s closet in its entirety. Actually, every character in Clueless dressed top notch 90s, one of my favorite eras.
THIS SEASON: Crochet and sheer. I feel like those are great materials to transition into summer. Shows just enough skin before you bare it all in the sweltering heat.
SUMMER LOVIN: What am I doing? I am currently working at an architect firm in Soho and going on as many adventures as possible in my spare time. What am I listening to? I’m lucky enough to have friends with excellent taste in music so I’m constantly getting new and different music suggestions. Right now I’m loving Zulu Winter, Pepper Rabbit, College and 1,2,3. What I am wearing? Practically nothing since the weather is trying melt the human race. But since it’s illegal to walk around naked in NYC, I’ve been sticking with the my “go-to” cutoff shorts as well as flowy dresses and tops to stay cool!
