Yesterday I attended the AllSaints A/W 2012 preview and needless to say I was blown away and rather turned off by the now constant color- craze of the current season. The collection was a fervent reminder of why I always relied on muted tones to serve as staples in my wardrobe. Like many others, AllSaints chose to return to a dark and sophisticated color palette, opting for appropriate winter favorites including leather and wool-like materials. They supplemented these traditional elements with striking embellishments and fun prints. It was definitely a sight to be seen and a dream waiting to be worn. I felt as though I were in a gallery of some of the most coveted pieces of the coming season as I’m sure others will definitely fall in love just as much as I have. And one thing is certainly apparent… This fall we’re going back to black.
